The Long Way to The Unknown

I walked a very long distance but still I can't see the end of the road. I stopped to catch my breath. I looked up. I saw two birds flying in circles in the sky. I suddenly felt safe as if they are watching over me.
I looked down where I'm feeling pain to find that I hurt my leg. I'm bleeding.
I wondered whether I shall keep walking or just give myself a break!
I sat down on the ground for a while trying to breathe and stop the bleeding.
A handsome man passed by. He looked at me with sympathy but he just simply left with that look on his face.
I leaned my head back, trying to get over the pain. A young guy passed by, he stepped over my hurt foot and left as if he did nothing!
Now, the pain is much worse. I feel so lonely. I believe I just have to overcome the pain as usual and continue the whole way till the end, no matter how long it is and what is there at the end. A tear is dropped from my eyes.
I looked up to find that the two birds are still flying in the sky where I can see them. I pulled myself together, while trying to stand up, when a hand stretched in front of me. It was for a wise old man.
After a few moments of thought, I leaned on his arm. He smiled. I know that through the rest of the way, I'll go through these moments of doubt when I wonder if he can really help me till I arrive. However, I have this faith inside, this sense of relief, that he can and will.
I know the two birds will keep an eye on me...throughout the way.
