Back to The Sea
He held his pot while
walking to the seashore. He sat on the sand looking at this small living
creature in the pot that he grabbed from the sea years ago.
He left the pot on the sand and
walked by the sea. A beautiful shell attracted his sight. He knelt down and
held it in his hand. It had such a beautiful living creature inside. He smiled
as he looked at it. It looks unique...just charming! It shines, has catchy
colors, and such a different texture. It feels different on his fingers. He
gazed at the creature inside. Strangely, he felt like it was smiling back at
him. That feeling he felt then, was so different, he never felt such a thing
before! He could hear his heart beats! He closely held it in his hand and
walked back to the pot.
He opened the pot and tried to
put it inside but the pot was too tight for both shells. If he tried to force
it inside, they would break. He took the old one out and gazed at it. How can
he just throw it away after all these years? He looked at the one he just
found, it was so beautiful and unique to let go.
He sat down on the sand,
looking deep at the sea, holding each in each hand. He had to decide before
they die outside water.
He returned the old shell
inside the pot slowly. Then, walked to the sea, and looked at it. He always
believed that many dreams were buried deep inside the sea. He held the
beautiful shell close to his lips and kissed it. He knelt down by the sea and
opened his hand to let it go. He couldn't take his eyes off it while the sea
waves were carrying it away. His tears mingled with the sea.
